What is Chiropractic?
Chiropractic is the science, art, and philosophy of locating and correcting interference in the nervous system, which are called subluxations, through gentle chiropractic adjustments, which allow the body to communicate better and function more efficiently.
What is an adjustment?
An adjustment is a specific, non-invasive “thrust” delivered by hand or with an instrument called an Activator. It’s quick and gentle. The purpose of the adjustment is to remove nerve interference in your body, allowing for better function and healing.
Can you help my sick child?
We love helping kids whether or not they are experiencing symptoms, and it’s a priority for us to help children live a drug-free life as God intended. At your child’s evaluation, we will discuss health history and goals for care in order to identify how chiropractic can help your child.
How many times do I have to come?
Every case is different; It is difficult to be sure how many visits you will need before the doctor has had a chance to evaluate you and determine what care you will need based on your health history, condition, and health goals. We will present your recommendations for care on your second visit, after we’ve had a chance to evaluate you.
Will I feel better after getting an adjustment?
Many people experience relief almost immediately after the first adjustment. For others, it takes longer and you may experience healing sensations. Every person’s body is different and will heal differently. Studies show immune response improves, blood pressure normalizes, and antioxidant processes increase with regular chiropractic care. Patients commonly report more energy, better sleep, and mental clarity after their adjustment.
How much will Chiropractic Care cost?
Every person and case is different, therefore it is difficult to be sure how much it will cost before we have had the change to evaluate you and determine what care you will need. After your first visit, we’ll have a better understanding of your financial options, and will present the options to you on your second visit. Investing in your health delivers quality of life.
Do you take my health insurance?
We are an in-network provider with most insurance companies, including Aetna, Cigna, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Kaiser, and UMR. Give us a call and we are happy to perform a complimentary benefits check for you and your family.
How long will it take to get adjusted?
Your routine visit usually lasts less than 15 minutes. However, if you want to schedule one-on-one time to talk about a particular issue, let us know. We will schedule appropriately.
What if I feel fine; do I need to keep coming back?
At PLE Chiropractic, we know there is a difference between “feeling fine” and functioning well. Your body is able to compensate for underlying dysfunction for a while, but the dysfunction will pass the threshold and show up as pain. Experiencing pain means your body has been dealing with dysfunction for too long. Our goal is to help restore and maximize your health through regular chiropractic adjustments to ensure optimal function.
Is Chiropractic safe for me while I’m pregnant?
Chiropractors are trained to adapt to your changing body during pregnancy. Adjustments allow improved function of the nervous system, which decrease the reliance on invasive delivery procedures.
